Port Angeles Cub Scouts Activities

Cub Scout Pack 4686 offers a comprehensive program that combines adventure, community service, and personal growth. Our scouts participate in engaging activities such as the Pinewood Derby and Rain Gutter Regatta, and they contribute to the community through beach cleanups, flag ceremonies, and supporting local events.

Fundraising efforts, including our annual popcorn sales, help finance these activities. Celebrations like the Blue and Gold Ceremony recognize scouts’ achievements and milestones. Join us to provide your child with a supportive and enriching scouting experience.

Den and Pack Meetings

Our den meetings are filled with fun activities like races and science experiments. Scouts participate in hands-on projects, team-building exercises, and skill-building tasks, fostering fun, learning, and personal growth.  They earn recognition for their work in the form of segments and belt loops at monthly Pack meetings.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at the Naval Elks Lodge in Port Angele during the school year. View upcoming Den and Pack Meetings.

Camping and Hiking

With easy access to the Olympic National Forest and gorgeous Pacific Northwest beaches and trails, you’ll find our pack exploring our corner of the world. They love camping lakeside, toasting marshmallows in campfires, and visiting local beaches.

Pinewood Derby

If you ask the scouts what their favorite activity is each year, you’ll hear a unanimous answer: the Pinewood Derby. This thrilling event captures the imagination and excitement of every scout as they design, build, and race their custom cars down our lightning-fast track.  The Pinewood Derby is more than just a race; it’s a cherished tradition.

Rain Gutter Regatta

Following closely behind the excitement of the Pinewood Derby is our annual Rain Gutter Regatta. Scouts dive into the fun of constructing their own boats, which they then race with great enthusiasm each summer.

This event is made even more special as we team up with the Port Angeles Sea Scouts, fostering camaraderie and friendly competition on the water. It’s a highlight of our summer activities, blending creativity, teamwork, and the joy of sailing into one unforgettable experience.
